Algeria is a country in North Africa. In terms of land area it's the largest country on the Mediterranean Sea, in the Arab world and African continent afert Sudan. Algeria is bordered in the northeast by Tunisia, in the east by Libia, in the west by Morroco, in the southwest by Western Sahara, Mauritania, and Mali, in the southeast by Niger, and in the north by the Mediterranean Sea. It has an estimated population of 35,7 milion and population density of 14 per sq km. About 90% of Algerians live in the northern, coastal area; the minority who inhabit the Sahara are mainly concentrated in oases, although some 1.5 million remain nomadic or partly nomadic.
