Description
Bahrain is an emirate on the eastern coast of the Arabian peninsula in the Persian Gulf located between parallels 25 º 32 'and 26 º 20' north latitude and the meridian 50 º 20 'and 50 º 50' east longitude. It consists of an archipelago of 33 islands, of which the main ones are: the island of Bahrain, where the capital, Manama, with a size of 48 km from north to south and 16 km from east to west accounting for 85% of the total area of the State and the nearby island of Muharraq (18 km ²) connected to the first by a causeway in front of Manama.
