Description
Guyana is divided into 10 regions. The 10 regions are: Barima-Waini, Pomeroon-Supenaam, Essequibo Islands-West Demerara, Demerara-Mahaica, Mahaica-Berbice, East Berbice-Corentyne, Cuyuni-Mazaruni, Potaro-Siparuni, Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo, and Upper Demerara-Berbice. The regions are divided into 27 neighbourhood councils. The capital city of Guyana is Georgetown.
