The UN acquires 500 maps of Africa.

The African Development Bank-AFDB, from the UN, receives approximately 500 digital maps of African countries from its contract with Netmaps. This major international contract with one of the most solvent banks in the world, with a AAA+ rating, represents Netmaps’ most important foray into the African market. The maps of all the continent’s countries included 6 types of maps with physical, political, infrastructure, economic, land use, and climatology information. It has been fully documented and carried out in a time frame of 3 weeks at the company’s headquarters near Barcelona. In the coming days, a face-to-face training course will be included at the Tunis headquarters with the bank’s technicians in charge of the Netmaps team.
